ZULETA MUSICAL PROJECT

In its first phase, the project offered free extracurricular classes in music reading, rhythm, and singing to children and young people from the Zuleta Educational Unit. A choir was formed, which gave several performances in December 2023. In the second phase, the group joined the Orchestral and Choral Program of the Municipality of Ibarra, beginning a new stage focused on learning instruments and music native to the region. By July 2024, funding for the first two phases of the Zuleta Musical Project came to an end.

We are currently seeking funding to continue this initiative, which was very well received by the children and young people of the community. We believe the project had a positive impact not only by bringing them closer to music but also by fostering appreciation for the region's musical traditions.
